Running Down A Dream

I'm not a big Tom Petty fan. There were a few good ones here and there, but as a whole not so much. I did go for a run last night though. It was awesome. The sun was going down, the dogs were trotting along beside, and most of all I felt great. A big slice of that happy pie were my feet. I attribute this to my barefoot running style (makes me think of the Wu-Tang) and the Pose running drills I have been practicing. Running now is about fun and getting outside and enjoying the feeling of movement. It used to be about pain, misery and PT. No more smashing tissue and banging joints. Here is a nice video illustrating the barefoot/heel strike running styles. Cut and paste.

POW!!!!!

That was the sound of the doors closing at Mountain States Rolfing. We found out the other day that we will be relocating to wonderful Albuquerque, New Mexico at the end of April. Until then we will still be seeing clients. So feel free to still give us a call and stop by 748 North Stone. Then it's North to the future.

You gotta walk and don't look back

It was 1978, I wasn't yet a glimmer in the eye of the universe, and Mick Jagger and Peter Tosh were singing songs of change. I like that song. Cut and paste.

If you're gonna walk and don't look back, you better have functional feet. Here is video from good friend and Rolf Movement instructor Mary Bond.

Steady as she goes

It's been a busy few weeks around the Old Pueblo. Lots of bike rides, wedding planning (that resulted in a trip to Mexico...awesome) a 24 hour bike race and good times with friends. The days are getting longer and new adventures are always on the horizon. Here is an article about Rolfing by the Weird Beard himself, Dr. Andrew Weil. My rule is if someone has a fantastic beard AND their own brand of breakfast cereal, I listen. So go out and enjoy. The desert is fantastic this time of year.

Canadian Bacon

I went riding today at Sweet Water and bumped into some nice folks from the North Country. They were enjoying the gorgeous February day in the sun, riding bikes, and having a great time all around. Then I received news my Canadian friend and his wife had another baby. Wow. That's two. Next I enjoyed a ham and cheese sandwich from the Sausage Shop here in Tucson. Now it might rain and I am ready to ride my bike again with some more friends. Lucky me. I'm gonna try to find one more thing Canadian about my day. Things happen in threes ya know.

Until then enjoy this great video about Rolfing SI.

Moving right along..

Words that ring true from my favorite Muppets. Things are moving right along here at Mountain States Rolfing. The year is blasting right past us and it's already almost February. There is lots of change happening. People are changing, the world is changing, our bodies are changing. Embrace the change. Be the ball. Here is a video on pain for you. Cut and paste. Enjoy.

Things aren't always what they seem

So 12 was supposed to be the year we started with a bang. Instead we started with a head cold that was a force to reckon with. I guess that's what happens when you make plans, the Gods laugh at you. After a week of feeling terrible and capitalizing on some sick days, Mountain States Rolfing is back in action! So high fives and goodtimes all around, and not to mention a lot of sudafed. Here is a video for you cut and paste. Things are not always what they seem.
